This Week I Will...

I'm keeping the weekly goals list because they seem to work.  I was quite productive last week and completed every item on my list, except for the breakfast nachos one because the chips ended up being stale.  That was disappointing.

I can't believe that it's already the middle of the week, but I still have a set of goals I want to complete, or at least begin.  This week, I will...

list at least 10 more pieces of vintage, hopefully colorful, like the above heels

try out this kale meatball soup, which will be perfect with the imminent rain, find here

finally try out this Japanese ramen place, which I've been craving for a week

obtain this book and at least start reading it.  Knowing me, I'll finish it in 2 days though because I won't be able to put it down.

I also want to start having a set time each day to really read to my own kids.  With one kid, it was much easier to be more intentional with the time spent.  But, with two kids, a bigger house, and a business, distractions prevent me from capitalizing on my mommy role.  Once again, I need to remind myself that one of the main reasons my husband and I decided that I should stay home was to raise my children.  With the rainy week ahead, it will definitely give me an opportunity to spend some quality time with the kids at home.

I should get started on these goals ASAP since it's almost Wednesday over here.  Anyone have a special goal for this week?  Please share in the comments below!

  1. Oh, that meatball kale soup look so good! It's not really the same as nachos, but stale tortilla chips are good when crumbled up in scrambled eggs (with cheese, hot sauce, sour cream, whatever you like in scrambled eggs). My only goal this week is to get my new computer up and running. That will be enough for me.

  2. I love writing out lists and such. I had a pretty big week last week and this week (I had a lot of assignments to do.) I even had to put of blogging, I was just too busy.
I think if I had written a list it would have went much better.
That soup looks really interesting, let us know how it goes!

  3. I really want to read The Hunger Games too but haven't gotten around to getting myself a copy yet. I might need to take a leaf out of your book (bad pun I know!) and get to work on a proper to-do-list! :)
