Baby Bump- 29 weeks

So, per request from some of my Twitter friends, I've decided to post up pictures of my baby bump.  I took pictures of my baby bump regularly with Jonah, but with less time, I've just not had the chance to.  Also, my butt has become a shelf (or so my best friend says, and I agree) and I don't really feel like flaunting it.  But, I don't care anymore.  I'm pregnant.

Here I was with Jonah at 29 1/2 weeks.  People keep insisting that I was bigger with him, but these pictures show otherwise.

Here I am now, at 29 weeks and 2 days.

Excuse my cropping, but my work space is invading everything in my bedroom and I simply did not want to crop it out.

I think I'm about the same size or maybe slightly larger now than I was with Jonah.  You be the judge.  All I know is I gained almost 45 pounds with Jonah, and I've gained 28 pounds so far with this one.  I will not fret.  I lost it all before, and so I am determined to do it again after the second one.

And as for my outfit.  I know people bag on forever 21, but that skirt cost me $3.50 and is the most comfortable skirt/article of clothing I own right now, so don't hate.

Can't wait to meet the little girl!!!

Alexander Berardi Spring 2011

Spring is just around the corner and Alexander Berardi's Spring 2011 RTW collection makes me pine for spring even more.  I know many people love bundling up in beautiful coats and boots, but I am a California girl all the way through, and also 7 months pregnant, and can't wait to step into the strappy comfortable sandals that allow my legs to breathe, and flowy dresses that don't constrict my non-existent waist.

I usually gravitate toward runway fashions that bring back the 50s and 60s, but this collection channels the 70s, which is a decade that is definitely growing on me.  The flowy butterfly sleeves and the gladiator sandals, along with the strappy espadrilles really make me want spring more! Can't wait!

For Animal Lovers

This past weekend, I went to the flea market and this animal print sweater grabbed my eye.  Some may say this sweater is tacky, but I think it's unique and cute.

Then, I noticed many other cute animal themed items from the shops of my sponsors.  So, if you love animals, this is the post for you.

Also, a big thank you to my returning sponsors and can't wait to introduce you guys to some new ones that will be coming along this week!

Scenes from a Flea Market

I always look forward to the Long Beach Antique market, held every 3rd Sunday of every month.  I find many items for the shop there and it's a time that I get to myself.  I love my husband because he so kindly watches our son while I get to browse through aisles and aisles of antiques!  My favorite is the Alameda one coming up in a couple of weeks, and seeing as I keep getting bigger, that one may be the last flea market I go to in a while, so I'm definitely looking forward to that one.  Hope you like some little pictures I took and maybe we can meet next time!

Also, my shop is having a 24 hour SALE. Prices have already been discounted! Sale ends tomorrow at 11 pm PST.  Have fun shopping!

Have a Great Weekend!

Happy Friday and have a great weekend everyone!

My weekend was going to consist of this:

but, there is a rainstorm right now.

So... after hosting a church dinner party at our home tomorrow, I will watch him:

in Pride and Prejudice (he's definitely one of my top five)

and then go to this on Sunday:

Long Beach Antique Flea Market, which is on the 3rd Sunday of every month.

Oh, and I will be meeting up with Giana of The Greedy Seagull, one of my favorite Etsy shops, for breakfast.  I'm extremely looking forward to the weekend!

See you Monday!

I Like Where I'm Going

Recently, I decided I had had enough of my poor lighting and 5 year old camera.  I kept pushing off investing in these two items thinking that they would not make much of a difference in my product photos.  But, after I purchased my lighting and saw the results, I squealed!  Yet, my pictures started becoming overexposed 1 week after and I decided that I needed to just suck it up and purchase a new camera, also.

I was thankful for a pretty good month in sales in January so I went for it and I squealed even louder and played with my new camera and lighting until 3 a.m. in the morning, even though I have a toddler that wakes up at 7:30 and I'm 27 weeks pregnant.

Anyhow, sorry for the long introduction, but I chuckle when I see my old attempts at photos on Etsy and where I am now.  Hopefully, I can get a real model someday, but with my future of having 2 little ones running around very soon, I'm not sure how I'm going to pull it off.  Enjoy and laugh and smirk!

I started off with editing photos like crazy against a white background,
but the colors of the items would change and I got made fun of for photographing
one shoe. I didn't think it was that bad. geez.

I tried live modeling, but I felt silly and the pictures showed my rug.

My first attempt at lighting- 2 lamps. Oops.

Outdoors shots, which wasn't too bad, but not safe with a baby in tow.

I decided on a gray background to show off my whites and creams more,
so I used cloth.  After about hundreds of staple gunning to my poor
apartment wall, I still had issues, but at least my pictures had less
shadows and clearer color.

Then, I decided I didn't like dark gray as a background and had a brief phase
of this beige color with a weird white strip. Like I said, it was brief!

I found an awesome vintage trunk for all my accessory shots,
but for me, the color still wasn't right.

I moved to a house and had a whole wall to myself in my bedroom!
I had our bedroom painted a nice gray, but still had bright spots.

To eliminate the shadows and bright spots, I purchased a lighting set.
Loved it, until I realized how my camera couldn't handle the lights and started
overexposing my pictures.

Still not perfect, but so much better and I love how much more crisp my photos are.

I am happy for now and thanks for reading this long post!
