I recently acquired this stunning 1950s, 60s blue sateen dress at an estate sale. It's definitely pricier than what I usually am willing to pay, but I just couldn't pass it up and I knew that I would have to wear this dress somewhere one day. Initially, I decided that I wanted to wear this to my friend's wedding in July. But, the dress barely fit over my dress form and I realized that if I tried to achieve that goal, I would be sorely disappointed. To wear this dress, I'm going to have to hit the gym and return back to my really fit days and so I shall, all because I want to wear this dress someday.
So, I'm going to try to fit into this dress by next Valentine's Day. That gives me about 9 months to shed all my weight and become fit. I shed 40 pounds in 10 months in my pregnancy with Jonah just by breastfeeding and not working out, so I think I can achieve this goal. No, not think, I will!
I can't tell you how many "goal" dresses I had when I was preggers. A ton?
ReplyDeleteThat is the ultimate goal dress!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! I'm sure you'll be able to wear it soon.
That's a great idea!! And I'm glad you went with a 9 month time-line, much more realistic (and healthy) than trying for July! Though if you work out, eat right AND breast feed you might be there a lot sooner than Valentine's Day!
