Happy New Years!

Happy New Years, friends!  God has certainly poured His blessings upon my family and me in 2012.  I love my family more, I love my business more, and I'm 30 (that's still bittersweet, actually).  I don't know why, but I'm extremely excited for 2013.  I have many ideas and goals that I am eager to begin and achieve.  Here are some:

1. Read the entire Bible.
2. Reach 2000 sales in the shop.
3. Take a picture of my kids everyday in 2013.
4. Workout 2x a week, or maybe 2x a month.  Whichever is easier.  Probably the latter. Ha.

Do you guys have any goals/resolutions?  I don't know if I will be able to follow through with all of these, but  I definitely will try.  (at least for now since life seems to be running a bit more smoothly.)

Have a safe and fabulous New Years!  I will be spending it with my hubs, a bottle of champagne, and my tv/ipad while my kiddos rest soundly in bed.

xo,
Anna

What a Christmas

Christmas has come and gone, and can you tell from the above picture that my kids thoroughly enjoyed the holiday?  They are super blessed because they are the only grandchildren so far on both sides and they are extremely loved by both sides.  I am very grateful for my family and my in-laws for their generosity and love towards our children.

We opened gifts Christmas morning, under our fake Christmas tree with the lopsided star (time for a new tree maybe next year), and then headed to Christmas service at our church that morning where my son delivered an extremely sub-par performance of "Jingle Bell Rock." That sounds mean, but the kid was front and center in the group of kids and he literally did nothing.  Still cute though.

Now, my daughter and I are battling a nasty cold/flu, but life is good and we are blessed.

Here's the winner of the $15 store credit to Revolving Kids Vintage:

Congrats to Agnieszka!  I will be in contact with you shortly!

The last giveaway will be announced tomorrow, so stay tuned!  Thanks to everyone who entered and hope everyone else had  Merry Christmas!  Looking forward to the new year!

Close Call

Last week, Etsy temporarily suspended many shops on Etsy, including mine, because we clicked on a link in an email that looked as if Etsy had sent the email.  Because of that indiscretion on my part, the shop closed down for 2 days during a SALE.  After many emails back and forth with Etsy about reactivating my account, I finally got my shop back.

However, I had to manually go back to every listing and change the titles and pictures because the shop closed down during an Etsy on Sale run sale, which prevented the site from cleaning up my shop from the sale.

But, everything is back to normal in the shop, so I'm happy and relieved. I really thought my shop was going to be permanently closed which caused a bit of a panic the first day.  I guess I really do love what I do. In the mean time, I will be bringing in some new pretties (shown below) and the shop will be on sale for the rest of 2012! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!  And a happy holidays to those who don't celebrate Christmas!

Here's a sneak peek into what's coming in the next couple of days:

I will be announcing the giveaway winner tonight and sharing the last giveaway of 2012!

Secret Garden

Christmas card, perhaps?  I think the dolphin is mooning us.

Heart melting...

Signature deer in headlights look from the son.

A friend captioned this picture so well: "Who is the creepy man photobombing the picture?" haha.

Oh yea, and there were dolphins.

So, after more thought, I've decided to post more personal posts on this blog.  Not too personal, because there are way too many psychos out there, but just enough to provide a glimpse into my life.  This blog is about things I like, and I like nothing more on this earth than my family (actually LOVE).  This also means that my kiddie blog is on a hiatus at the moment because as I've mentioned before, running two blogs while running two shops while being a stay at home, work from home mom is running me dry.

I love my family even more today after the heartbreaking tragedy at Newtown, CT.  I was a teacher and am a mother and still am unable to fully wrap my head around what happened.  It truly leaves me speechless and all I can say is my heart and deepest sympathy and prayers go out to those in Newtown.  It just reminds me to love my children as much as I can everyday because life is short and unpredictable.

Above are pictures from an impromptu trip we took to Vegas a couple of weeks ago.  My husband and I decided on Friday that we wanted to take a short family trip somewhere, so we drove to Vegas that night.  We really don't plan things in this family.

Many parents ask what there is to do in Vegas with a family.  We've gone several times and we always have a blast! My son LOVES the Bellagio water show, and Mandalay Bay has an aquarium that both my kids loved, and the buffets itself can be great for kids because what kid doesn't like a dessert bar?

The other place we think is a must for families is Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden in Mirage, which is where the above pictures were taken.  It allows the kids to see many dolphins up close, as well as white tigers, white lions, and jaguars. We spent a good chunk of the morning here, and kids under 4 are free!  So, if you decide to take your young ones to Vegas, make sure to stop off here.

And because this is a vintage blog, I was wearing a Vintage Coach bag, Vintage knee-high black boots.  Have a blessed Friday, everyone and I will be announcing the winner to my $15 giveaway tomorrow!

Party Hopping

This past week's shop update centers around the impending parties for the holiday season.  We have dresses for the elegant party, casual get together, and accessories and outerwear to pull the look together.

What type of Christmas party will you be attending this year?  The one I am attending sadly will not allow any of these lookers because the theme is to dress up in the ugliest, gaudiest outfit possible.

All of these items can be found in the shop, and links are to the right of the post!  Enjoy!

Pearls, Rocks, and Beads

The jewelry section in the shop got a makeover and I'm liking it.  The wood background really highlights the piece, instead of getting lost on my white background.  Also, if you're liking the pretty and feminine bags, find them here.

The jewelry you see here, as well as the rest of the shop will be 15% off until Christmas, and what lovely gifts these would make!  Or, maybe the perfect accessory to your holiday dress? Have a happy Monday!
