Derek Lam- New York Fashion Week
Some day, I will make it to New York Fashion Week. Until then, I will peruse the internet and hunt down my favorite designers. Derek Lam has become one of my favs. Here are some of his designs that I adore!
I love the vintage inspired hats combined with the equestrian look. He created such feminine pieces that exuded power and strength. Love it!

TRANSITIONS

Rain, Rain Go Away
I'm spoiled by California weather, but lately, it's been cold and rainy. I don't mind the rain or cold actually, but it takes away the sun. No sun, no photo shoot for me since I depend on natural light. Also, I'm really excited about my spring collection I've been putting together for the shop. Photo Shoot Gone Awry
The sun shined for the first time in 3 days and I missed the most opportune time to shoot photos due to church. So, I tried to take advantage of the little window of time I had left and asked my husband to shoot me in these new fabulous boots I acquired for the shop. But, something happened...
My son wanted to be in the picture. So, photo shoot failed. And as you can tell b the quality of photos, the light was not right either. Good times. Hopefully I'll have better light and a better photo shoot tomorrow!

You Don't Bring Me Flowers..Anymore
It's that time of year- Valentine's Day, where flowers hike up several hundreds of percent from their original price. I sang the song from the title once to my husband several years ago as a joke, and the sweet guy ended up delivering flowers to me at the school I taught at that very day. All the other teachers thought it was the sweetest thing, and so did I. I leave you with some of my favorite flowers, as well as some "flower" dresses from my shop. Enjoy!
